Wild Lexus LF-NX Crossover Uncovered Ahead of Frankfurt Debut

Lexus has released images of a new compact luxury crossover to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show next week. Lexus currently has no offering in the segment and intends to fill that void with the wild-looking NX.

The LF-NX Concept will likely use an adaptation of the Hybrid powertrain found in the ES300h. A Turbo 4-cylinder motor will probably also be offered.

The design follows a similar theme from other Lexus Concepts and that of the new IS. While some elements are sure to be toned down for the production model, the truck will still be pushing the design envelope just as the production IS does.

The interior is quite futuristic-looking and has touch-sensitive electrostatic switches similar to what’s being offered on other Lexus models.
