2014 Van of the Year Award: Ford Transit Connect

The 2014 Van of the Year award has been given to the Ford Transit Connect during the Moscow Motor Show.

The Ford Transit Connect shares the podium alongside the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Renault Kangoo.

Its the first time a manufacturer won this honor for two consecutive years. The Ford Transit Custom had seized the coveted trophy last year as well which is awarded by a panel of twenty four journlaists. This represents a fifth title for Ford Europe.

The Ford Transit Connect

The new Ford commercial van will be sold in Canada by the end of this year.  It’s a multifunctional vehicle that offers:

• Up to 3682 liters of cargo space behind the seats;
• A payload capacity of 748 pounds;
• A towing capacity of 907 pounds.
