Hyundai Veloster Yellowcake Concept Built for SEMA

Behold the new Hyundai Veloster Turbo “Yellowcake”, a racing machine designed to compete in nighttime time attack races.

Built by aftermarket tuner company EGR Group, the little monster features a custom roll rage to increase rigidity, aftermarket strut braces and an ARK coilover suspension system. For visual appeal, strapped to the roof is a Wurton LED light bar, headlights done by ONEighty and a wide body kit.

Bisimoto engineering has tuned the 1.6 litre turbo powerplant to produce about 250 horsepower – up from 201hp - to go with its menacing looks. Brakes have been upgraded to Brembo and aggressive DPE three-piece wheels wrapped in Toyo tires finish off the performance upgrades.

The term Yellowcake refers to the botched Iraq war intelligence that indicated Saddam Hussein bought Yellowcake Uranium for his nuclear program which of course was never found.
