While the M3 sedan remains in the lineup, the M3 coupes and convertibles were thanked for their services and have since been replaced by the new M4 models.

This week, BMW announced that the first BMW M4 has come off the assembly line in Munich, where 3 Series wagons and sedans as well as 4 Series coupes are produced. The first M4 is an Austin Yellow colored coupe.

It was presented by BMW DTM driver Martin Tomczyk, accompanied by Hermann Bohrer, the plant manager of the Munich operation.

The BMW M3 continues to be manufactured at the plant in Regensburg alongside the M4 convertibles and Z4 roadster.
