Rumours: The 2015 Mustang Could be 135 kg Heavier

If we are to believe the latest information to come out of the rumour mill, the 2015 Ford Mustang could be between 90 and 135 kg heavier than the outgoing model.

It's Steeda, a renowned part manufacturer for Ford, that dropped this info. They supposedly made the discovery while working on a pre-production car. While Ford has not given the full specifications yet, if we look at all the new technologies crammed into the car, it is plausible that it is now a few pounds heavier.

Steeda then goes on to say that they will sell a wide range of accessories for the new Mustang, to make sure that this weight gain won't affect performance.

It is interesting to look at the reactions on the forums where the news surfaced: While the sceptical anxiously wait for Ford to chime in, some people have already cancelled their orders while cursing Ford's name!

But then again, these are only rumours. We will have to see the final specifications to know if Ford really added an adult man's worth of weight to their Pony Car...
