Ford Announces the Starting Price of the 2015 Mustang

Ford started things off with a bang by showing us the all-new Mustang. They then proceeded to give us bits of information regarding the new tech packed in it. Then, they built up the suspense with a gradual unveiling of the different powertrains. Ever so slowly, we learned more and more about the 50th edition of the famous pony car. But we are now ready for the main course: how many of our hard-earned dollars will we have to give Ford in order to put our hands on the 2015 Mustang?

If you planned on getting a bare-bone, no-option V6 Mustang, here is your answer: $24,425 USD. If you have beein following the muscle car pricing recently, you will notice that this is $125 less than a base Camaro, the Mustang’s arch-nemesis. It is also $1100 more than the outgoing model, but since the car rides on an all-new platform with a new independent suspension, we can easily understand the price hike.

For the other models, like the turbocharged 4-cylinder Ecoboost or the mighty 5.0 V8 GT, pricing has yet to be revealed, as well as the convertible's price.

It has taken a long time, but the wait will finally pay off…
