6 Aston Martin Vanquishes For 60 Years At Newport Pagnell

This year, Aston Martin will celebrate its 60th year of operation at the Newport Pagnell factory. While most of their cars are now built in the more modern Gaydon factory, Aston Martin Works (which takes care of limited-edition cars and unique customizations) still resides in this ancestral place.

To mark this important landmark in the company’s history, Aston Martin will build six Vanquishes, each one representing a decade. There will of course be unique colours, trims and leathers for these cars, but the most interesting homage to the past can be found on the dashboards.

Take a look at the pictures that show the inside of the car. Can you see the round metal dials? These are not made from just any metal: it comes from an actual Piston that was used in an old Aston of the decade celebrated by the Vanquish. On this particular car, the metal comes from a DB2/4 MkII Saloon.

Apart from those modifications, the Vanquish remains a stellar GT: 6-litre V12, eight speed gearbox, 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds…

If you want to own one of these pieces of history, hurry up; production is limited.
