A Different Toyota GT86 For The Japanese Domestic Market

Whether it's the Scion FR-S or its sister the Subaru BRZ (or even their Japanese cousin, the Toyota GT86), the small coupe is synonymous with performance. Sales might not be record-breaking right now, but this sporty little coupe has already won the hearts of many drivers.

However, if you don't like the way it looks, there isn't much you can do; the Scion and the Subaru both look pretty similar.

If you live in Japan, there is another option: Toyota just launched the Cb edition, which swaps the regular front end for an all-new one.

Based on the 86xStyle Cb that was shown at the Tokyo Auto Show, the 86 Style Cb differs from the regular GT86 with the addition of new headlights, a more rounded front bumper and different side gills. Furthermore, since this model is targeted towards those who like style over performance, the vehicle's suspension has been tweaked for greater comfort and the steering is now more assisted.

We probably won't see one of these unique GT86s here, but if you ever travel to the land of the rising sun, don't be surprised if you happen to see one of these unique sports cars...
