2016 Subaru Forester Receives A Few Upgrades

Published on June 16, 2015 in News by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

Since the Subaru Forester was recently updated, we didn’t expect 2016 to bring a load of changes for the SUV.

Subaru just confirmed that indeed, the vehicle would be physically identical to last year’s model. However, it receives a few upgrades to make it even more desirable.

First of all, Subaru’s proprietary StarLink system will be available on the Forester via a 6.2 or 7-inch screen. This includes SOS Emergency Assistance, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, Maintenance Notifications, Monthly Vehicle Health Report and Diagnostic Alerts.

Owners will be able to add a package including Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service, Vehicle Security Alarm Notification, Remote Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn and Lights and Remote Vehicle Locator.

Lastly, every Forester equipped with EyeSight now comes with steering-responsive fog lights.
