Subaru announced that the Forester will receive updates for the 2017 model year. Among them, we note a new exterior, updated driving aid technologies, more comfort, better performance and greater fuel economy.

Exterior-wise, the non-turbo models will sport a modified bumper and will be fitted with a new hexagonal grille. Different headlights with C-shaped LED daytime-running lamps will also be available. To unify the looks, the rear will also be modified to integrate C-shaped lights. Finally, the headlights will automatically adjust and will follow the angle of the wheels.

The Touring version can be painted in Metallic Bronze. New 17-inch wheels are also offered, while the 2.0XT will come with 18-inch wheels.

Inside, every 2017 Forester will receive a steering wheel with integrated infotainment, Bluetooth and cruise controls. Said wheel will also be heated for the 2.0XT and 2.5i Touring.

The Foresters equipped with the EyeSight system will now have a colour camera and a lane-departure prevention system.
