2015 Frankfurt Motor Show - Virtual Concept And A New Division For Hyundai

Manufacturers that were asked to participate in the Vision Gran Turismo programme – in which stylists from various manufacturers designed virtual vehicles for Gran Turismo 6 that would represent the future of their brand – sometimes took the time to build these cars in the real world. Hyundai took this opportunity to not only show their concept but to also launch an all-new product lineup. Both will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The car that will be presented for Gran Turismo 6 will be the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, a single-seater which will integrate lots of futuristic technologies and characteristics, which Hyundai hopes will one day be used in race cars.

The other piece of information is about the new N division: like BMW’s M and Mercedes-Benz’s AMG, N will become synonymous with performance for the Korean manufacturer. N’s primary duties for now will be to maintain Hyundai’s WRC race car, but they will eventually have the opportunity to work on high-performance road vehicles. Rumours suggest that there is a very special i30 –known here as the Elantra– on its way to the Frankfurt Motor Show… One with 300 HP and an all-wheel drive layout.

For now, we know that the automaker will bring the RM15 concept (essentially a mid-engined Veloster) and the i20 that will race in WRC during next season, starting in Monte-Carlo.
