The Montreal International Auto Show is Right Around the Corner
For the 75th time in history, Montreal is hosting an auto show. Yes, the 75th time: if we add up all the Auto Shows that have taken place in Montreal, since the first edition organized by auto industry professionals in 1914 until 2018, there have been 75 events in total. Did you know that there wasn't a single auto show organized in Montreal between 1939 and 1968? The upcoming Montreal International Auto Show will celebrate these many successful events, and the Show’s official magazine will even include several entertaining stories.
Performance Zone
In keeping with tradition, the Montreal International Auto Show will introduce several Canadian premieres, wild concepts and cars that mere mortals couldn’t even dream of driving. Many of these cars—although in some cases the word “car” doesn’t do these vehicles justice—will be found in the Performance Zone, where engineering meets imagination.

Electric vehicle test drives and a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
Among other fan favourites, electric vehicle test drives will be organized by the MIAS and CAA-Québec. And once again this year, attendees will get the chance to drive electric cars or plug-in hybrids on a circuit around the Palais des congrès. Driving a battery-powered whip in the dead of winter in a secure environment is a great way to master this type of drivetrain. Still not convinced? The Montreal International Auto Show will draw from all the tickets filled out by visitors for a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Charging station and installation included!
A 1968 Corvette for $20
In less environmentally-conscious news, The Car Guide will draw for a superb 1968 Corvette restored by the students and teachers at the École des métiers et de l’équipement motorisé de Montréal (Montreal School for Trades and Motorized Equipment). All proceeds will go to the Fondation de la Corporation des concessionnaires automobiles de Montréal (Montreal Automobile Dealerships Corporation Foundation), who will then redistribute them to foundations that benefit children. The draw will be held on January 28, 2018 at the end of the Show. $20 per ticket is a bargain for the chance to win a Corvette valued at $40,000! Buy your ticket online
