Canadian Premiere: 2018 BMW X2 is Smaller than an X1 Despite the Name
The compact luxury SUV market is growing exponentially and BMW is adding the X2 in between the existing X1 and X3. Despite the name, and even though they share the same platform, the X2 is a little smaller than the X1. But since it is a little lower, it has a stockier look. Its turbocharged, 2.0L four-cylinder engine produces 228 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. An eight-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all four wheels. BMW has announced a 0-100 km/h time of 6.5 seconds. The M Sport X Package includes a sportier automatic gearbox and 20-inch wheels.
