Cadillac Unveils the 2019 CT6 V-Sport at the New York Auto Show
Cadillac has just introduced the brand-new CT6 V-Sport, a high-performance version of the brand’s flagship sedan, at the New York Auto Show. Following an update of the CT6 lineup, the V-Sport boasts a unique front fascia that gives it a little more character, mainly because of its large V-shaped grille and the matte black trim that creates a monochrome effect. If you like high-performance full-size sedans, this one could be right up your alley.
It’s hard to miss the huge 20-inch rims fitted with low-profile tires designed specifically for the model. A set of red Brembo brakes enhances the look.

The CT6 V-Sport owes its performance to a brand new twin-turbo, 4.2-litre V8 that develops an estimated 550 horsepower and an impressive 627 lb.-ft. of torque. It features the “hot-V” layout, in which the exhaust supplies a pair of turbochargers nestled between the two rows of cylinders. The ensemble is more compact and helps reduce turbo lag.
Rumour has it that this engine may be earmarked for duty in the upcoming mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. In the CT6 V-Sport, it’s paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. To enhance sportiness, it has a unique suspension and a deeper exhaust sound.
