The Ford Bronco Will Have a Removable Roof and Doors
Ford hasn’t released any photos or an official release date for its upcoming Bronco, but it did recently present a preproduction vehicle to a bunch of dealerships in Michigan.
According to media outlet Automotive News, the next Bronco will be a direct competitor to the Jeep Wrangler. And like its main rival, it’ll come fitted with removable roof and doors.

The Big, and the Small
During that dealer presentation, Ford also presented a tiny SUV inspired from the Bronco off-roader. Nicknamed the “Baby Bronco” at Ford, this compact utility vehicle, scheduled to arrive next year, will be more-or-less the same size as a Jeep Renegade and will slot between an EcoSport and an Escape. At least, that’s what the concept Ford showed us last year in Dearborn suggests.
Concerning the “real” Bronco, the one enthusiasts have been asking, we’ll need to wait until the end of 2020 to buy one. Ford says it’ll be entirely customizable, just like the Wrangler, where consumers will get to choose between two and four-door variants. Like its main competitor, it’ll be possible to equip your Bronco with extra off-roading accessories. Ford does indeed promise a genuine adventure machine.
During the presentation, Ford also confirmed that a compact pickup truck, which will slot just underneath the Ranger within its lineup, is scheduled to arrive in 2021, alongside a fully electric SUV.
