COVID-19: Hyundai is Now Offering At-home Test Drives
As the second wave of COVID-19 keeps getting more serious and people are encouraged to further limit their trips, Hyundai Canada is launching a new at-home test drive program—a first for a mainstream automaker in the country.
Thanks to the 199 participating dealers across Canada (out of a total of 221), anyone wishing to take a new Hyundai vehicle for a spin in the streets around their house or workplace can use the new online tool that’s just been implemented.
“With the increase in customers shopping online, the test drive was the next step in the purchasing process that could be booked online and completed without leaving your home,” explains Lawrence Hamilton, Director of Marketing at Hyundai Canada. “We want to provide multiple, safe options for every customer who is looking to experience Hyundai products and purchase a new vehicle.”
How does it work? It’s really simple. You just have to access the online tool (by clicking the link above), select a vehicle, then book a date and time for the at-home test drive. Your local Hyundai dealer will arrange the pick-up and drop-off.
Of course, if you prefer to set up an appointment for a test drive at the dealership, you can use the tool for that, too.
All of Hyundai’s newest products are available for testing including the all-new 2021 Elantra, Veloster N and Sonata Hybrid.
The at-home test drives are an extension of the “Safe and Sound” program initiated by Hyundai Canada at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It outlines what dealers must do to conduct business safely during the pandemic, such as facilitating vehicle test drives.
Needless to say all vehicles are sanitized before and after every service and test drive.
