2022 Toyota Highlander Adds Flashy Bronze Edition
Following a complete redesign for 2020, the Toyota Highlander added a sporty-looking XSE model a year later. Now, what does it have in store for 2022? If you want to turn heads—or show your support for third-place finishers—you should consider the new Bronze Edition.
Exclusive to the Highlander Hybrid (sorry, you can’t get it with the conventionally powered variant), it’s available in either Cement (unique to Bronze Edition) or Wind Chill Pearl (new for 2022).

As the name implies, there are various bronze-coloured accents inside and out. Of course, the 18-inch bronze wheels are impossible to miss, but check out the illuminated bronze door sills and bronze interior stitching on the dash, door panels and seats. SofTex synthetic leather with a fabric insert can be found on the seats.
Also exclusive to the Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition are unique floor and cargo mats embroidered with a special bronze logo.
Unique standard features of this new model include a hands-free power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, digital rearview mirror, 120V power outlet, puddle lamps with Highlander logo, in-dash ambient lighting, 10-way power driver’s seat with memory and LED-strip daytime running lights.
Toyota says the Bronze Edition is also a glimpse into new offerings for the 2022 Highlander. This includes height/tilt power passenger seat adjustments, which will be standard on 2022 Highlander XLE and above.
The 2022 Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid will go on sale this fall. Pricing for the Bronze Edition has yet to be announced, but it will land somewhere between the Hybrid XLE (MSRP from $48,705) and Hybrid Limited ($54,150).
