2022 Subaru BRZ to Remain Under $30,000 in Canada
The second-generation 2022 Subaru BRZ will hit the Canadian market this fall, and while we’re still waiting for the official fuel consumption ratings, pricing is no longer a mystery.
In case you need a refresher, the car benefits from a new, stiffer chassis, reduced weight and a brand new 2.4-litre engine producing 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque—just like the equally redesigned 2022 Toyota GR 86.

The 2022 BRZ is available in two trim levels, the base one starting at $29,495 (plus destination and delivery) with the six-speed manual transmission or $31,895 with the six-speed automatic and Subaru's EyeSight driver assist technology.
Content includes a new eight-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, proximity key with push-button start and available SUBARU STARLINK Connected Services.
Priced from $32,495 or $34,895 depending on the transmission choice, the BRZ Sport-tech receives 18-inch matte grey-finish alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires for even more bite and control. Also, there are heated leather and Ultrasuede front seats, a premium eight-speaker audio system and steering-responsive LED headlights.
By the way, it’s the first time the BRZ integrates EyeSight technology. This suite of advanced safety features includes High Beam Assist, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning. Sport-tech models get Side/Rear Vehicle Detection including Blind-Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Automatic transmission Sport-tech models further add Reverse Automatic Braking.
