Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance Adds Limited F1 Edition

Published on October 25, 2022 in News by Guillaume Rivard

The electrifying new 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance unveiled last month will have a special F1 Edition limited to just 36 units when it goes on sale in Canada next year.

This model comes with exclusive features inside and out to emphasize the Formula 1 know-how that helped bring the ultimate C-Class to life.

It all starts with a unique Manufaktur alpine grey solid paint finish and decals on the bodysides consisting of the AMG logo and colour gradient from grey to black. A thin red line goes around the entire lower body and outlines the matte black 20-inch AMG forged wheels in a five-twin-spoke design—exactly like on the Official F1 Medical Car from Mercedes-AMG.

The AMG Aerodynamics Package, developed in the wind tunnel, adds aerodynamic elements including the larger front splitter, spoiler lip on the trunk lid, redesigned trim on the side members and additional diffuser board. The AMG Night Package and AMG Stealth Package also enhance the motorsport appearance of the F1 Edition with their high-gloss black and black chrome accents.

Inside, the AMG Performance seats are particularly refined with upholstery in black nappa leather with red decorative topstitching and embossed AMG emblems on the front head restraints. They follow the sporty look just like the seat belts in red and the exclusive AMG carbon trim elements with red thread. The AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather and DINAMICA microfiber with red decorative topstitching and the AMG door sill trims with red illuminated "AMG" lettering are other highlights. The finishing touches are the exclusive Edition badge in the interior and specific AMG floor mats with red decorative topstitching and F1 logo.

Oh, and each customer will receive a customized AMG car cover with F1 logo (for indoor use, like a garage) to protect their valuable investment from dust and scratches.

Remember, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance sits well above the base C 300 and the mid-grade AMG C 43 in terms of power and sportiness. A turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine teams up with a rear electric motor fed by a very unique 6.1kWh battery. Together, they generate no less than 561 horsepower—or up to 671 horsepower for 10 seconds when Overboost is activated—as well as 752 pound-feet of maximum torque.

A more advanced 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system distributes power to the wheels and contributes to 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.4 seconds—half a second quicker than the 503-horsepower BMW M3 Competition. Canadian pricing will be announced closer to launch.
