Blazer EV Stop Sale Order Lifted, Chevy Lowers Pricing

General Motors today announced that it has lifted the stop sale order on the Chevrolet Blazer EV. Chevrolet issued the order to suspend sales a little over two months ago because the electric SUV was suffering from technical and software problems, which generally affected the infotainment system.

There were also reports of powertrain failure and problems with the charging system at DC charging stations. Chevrolet claims to have remedied the situation with a software update, in addition to adding such items as "new customizable multi-color mood lighting" and "revised graphics in the driver information center with battery percentage display, etc."

“Today, we’re announcing we are resuming Chevrolet Blazer EV sales for customers. We have made significant software updates that will improve features and functionality to deliver on the high expectations of our customers. We’re confident these improvements will address concerns heard from some early owners and as promised, we’re carrying learnings over to other products in GM’s lineup,” the company’s statement said.

Finally, the automaker has adjusted its pricing on LT and RS models in order to remain competitive in its segment. Here's an overview of these changes for the Canadian market.
