IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai’s Most Expensive Vehicle Ever in Canada
With the first units set to arrive in dealerships a few weeks from now, Hyundai today announced Canadian pricing for its hot new high-performance electric crossover. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t come cheap.
Offered in a single, fully loaded trim priced at $78,199 plus freight and PDI of $1,950, the 2025 IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai’s most expensive vehicle ever and more than $15,000 above the price of an IONIQ 5 Preferred Long Range AWD equipped with the Ultimate Package.

As a reminder, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N uses a new 84kWh battery that enables its electric motors to spin up to 21,000 rpm, providing 601 horsepower—or 641 horsepower for 10 seconds with N Grin Boost engaged. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be as quick as 3.4 seconds. The vehicle sits 15mm lower and broad flares add 50mm of width to accommodate the wider, 21-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance tires.
The interior stands out with a newly designed steering wheel flanked by N drive-mode buttons. Driving modes can be customized and matched to each button in various combinations to suit the driver’s preference. What’s more, track-ready N sport seats with reinforced bolsters firmly support the upper and lower body. They’re mounted 15 mm lower compared to the standard IONIQ 5 for enhanced stability.
Oh, and did we mention there’s a rear window wiper, too? All IONIQ 5 models will get one for 2025, by the way.
