Ram 1500 Classic Production Discontinued for Canada
Anyone looking for cheaper full-size pickup will likely be disappointed to learn that production of the Ram 1500 Classic for Canada is now over.
The news comes directly from Stellantis, which said in a brief statement that Ram dealers will sell the current inventory through the rest of 2024.

It should be noted that things are different south of the border, as production for the U.S. and Mexico will continue.
The Ram 1500 Classic is the previous-gen model that the company has kept making alongside the new Ram 1500 since 2019. Even today, it still accounts for a large portion of Ram pickup sales.
This is no surprise. For customers who don’t necessarily need the latest tech and gadgets, the Ram 1500 Classic proves extremely attractive with a base price below $38,000, including freight and PDI as well as huge rebates from the manufacturer. The lineup consists of Tradesman, SLT, Express, Night Edition and Warlock models, with a choice of a 3.6-litre V6 and a 5.7-litre HEMI V8.
As for the standard Ram 1500, which has been largely updated for 2025, prices are once again going up and starting at $62,740 in Canada—freight and PDI included—with no juicy rebates to sweeten the deal. By comparison, the 2024 model retailed from $54,115.
Let’s see how these changes affect total Ram pickup sales, which have slipped to third place among the best-selling vehicles in Canada behind the Ford F-Series and Toyota RAV4. The GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, currently ranked fourth and fifth, are on the verge of closing the gap, too.
