2025 Polestar 2 Gets Subtle Updates, Range Adjustments
Following key powertrain upgrades including increased range for the 2024 model year, the Polestar 2 electric sedan gets one more round of enhancements for 2025, hoping to steal a bit of the refreshed Tesla Model 3’s thunder. The car is available to order in Europe and Canada as of today.
First, two new exterior colours can be selected. Vapour (light grey) replaces Magnesium as the standard colour, while Storm (a dark grey first seen on the all-new Polestar 4 crossover) replaces Thunder. Then there are new 19-inch Aero alloy wheels with aero inserts and new 20-inch Pro graphite alloy wheels, the latter available when selecting the Pro Pack ($1,700).

Inside, the 2025 Polestar 2 gains animal welfare-secured Charcoal Nappa leather upholstery from Bridge of Weir. The aforementioned Pro Pack also adds new seatbelts with a Swedish Gold stripe running its entire length.
Speaking of packages, the company has revised the content structure for 2025 to align it with the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. Among others, the Climate Pack includes a heat pump, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel and heating for the washer fluid nozzles. In addition, customers now have more standalone options to choose from.
Finally, we have to tell you about minor range adjustments for the Polestar 2 lineup. Depending on the model you select, expect to travel slightly shorter or longer distances based on the official NRC ratings:
- Single Motor, 19-inch wheels – 505 km (-10)
- Single Motor, 20-inch wheels – 483 km (-11)
- Dual Motor, 19-inch wheels – 447 km (+3)
- Dual Motor, 20-inch wheels – 431 km (+3)
- Dual Motor, 20-inch wheels, Performance Pack – 409 km (+12)
As mentioned up top, the 2025 Polestar 2 can now be ordered in Canada starting at $54,950 plus $2,650 destination. The Dual Motor variant costs an extra $7,900. The federal EV rebate of $5,000 still applies, but you can forget about the provincial incentive of up to $4,000 in B.C. since the maximum MSRP under the CleanBC program has just been lowered to $50,000.
Customers in Quebec, where Polestar recently opened new stores in Laval and Quebec City, are entitled to a provincial rebate of $7,000 until December 31, 2024.
