2025 Ford Bronco Sport Refreshed With Sasquatch Package, Bigger Screen

The Ford Bronco Sport has enjoyed its fair share of updates since launching four years ago, including a couple of special editions. The momentum continues for 2025 with a Sasquatch Package that elevates off-road capability in addition to a number of physical and technological upgrades.

“Bronco Sport customers love the outdoors and go off-roading 3.5 times as often as the owners of competitive vehicles, and camping twice as often,” Ford Enthusiast Vehicles general manager Matt Simpson explains. It only makes sense for the Bronco Sport to follow in the footsteps of the larger Bronco by adding the Sasquatch Package.

Available for both 1.5-litre Outer Banks and 2.0-litre Badlands models, said package includes an ultra-rugged twin-clutch rear-drive unit and locking rear differential. Next, the 29-inch Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires (no mention of “Wrangler” due to the Ford-Jeep rivalry) were developed specifically for the Bronco Sport Sasquatch.

The Badlands and Badlands Sasquatch models receive a new Rally mode that is particularly useful when driving at higher speeds in sand by holding gears longer, sharpening throttle response and increasing steering feedback. Incidentally, every other Bronco Sport comes standard with a new Off-Road mode. Both modes automatically activate the 360-degree camera with Trail View, which functions at high speeds and shows width-accurate tire overlays.

Also included with the Sasquatch Package are new Bilstein rear shocks with position-sensitive damping and piggyback reservoirs that provide a wider range of compression and rebound damping capabilities than the Bronco Sport Badlands’ standard monotube off-road dampers. New front and rear springs increase ride height by 0.4 inch (10 mm), while the Bronco Sport Badlands Sasquatch has up to 8.3 inches of front suspension travel and 8.7 inches of rear suspension travel. Let’s not forget the front brush guard, steel skid plates and modular, accessory-ready bumpers with steel bash plates and recovery points.

For Bronco Sport Big Bend customers who don’t need the Sasquatch’s whole shebang, a new Black Diamond off-road package is available, adding four recovery points, up to 2,200 lbs of towing capacity and additional steel underbody protection.

Updated Design and Tech

As you’ve probably noticed on the pictures, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is aesthetically refreshed and closer to its larger Bronco sibling. Both front and rear bumpers are new, adding modular points that owners can fit a range of accessories to, such as brush bars and driving lights or mounts for dune flags. You’ll also find iconic Bronco Bolts, marked “Accessory Ready” and featuring the bucking Bronco logo, which signify parts that you can replace to suit different purposes, such as securing a rooftop load and gear.

Inside, there are two bolts in the new, Bronco-inspired tray on top of the dashboard, and the new available passenger grab handle on the centre console can be replaced. All Bronco Sport Sasquatch models add auxiliary switches enabling simpler accessorizing.

That being said, the biggest change to the interior is arguably the new 13.2-inch centre display, which replaces the old 8-inch screen and features the SYNC 4 infotainment system with over-the-air software updates. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, too.

While some physical controls have been eliminated in the process, the aforementioned tray behind the centre display includes two easy-to-access USB-C inputs. In front of the driver is a reconfigurable 12.3-inch digital instrument display that includes unique animations inspired by the Bronco Raptor when the drive mode changes.

Most 2025 Ford Bronco Sport models will arrive in dealerships in November, while the Bronco Sport Sasquatch will be available during the first quarter of next year. Pricing for all models will be shared closer to their respective on-sale dates.
