2025 Bentley Flying Spur Speed is All-New and Hybrid Only
Similar to the brand new 2025 Continental GT Speed, Bentley’s Flying Spur is getting rid of familiar engines, including the iconic 6.0-litre W12, and moving forward exclusively with a PHEV-type “Ultra Performance Hybrid” powertrain.
Launched initially with the performance-focused Speed, this fourth generation of the Flying Spur combines a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 with an electric motor for a total output of 771 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. With the help of an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, the automaker says 0-100 km/h sprints can be achieved in as little as 3.5 seconds.

Feeding the motor is a 25.9kWh battery that adds considerable weight to the sedan, yet provides a zero-emission range of 76 km based on the slightly optimistic WLTP test cycle. Even a more realistic figure would represent an improvement over the 34 km enabled by the outgoing Flying Spur Hybrid, which features an 18.9kWh battery. A full charge using a 240V power source takes 2.75 hours, according to Bentley.
With regard to styling, the new model stands out mostly up front with a redesigned grille and a somewhat more aggressive-looking bumper. Three new 22-inch wheel designs are available.
Of course, customization options remain nearly endless, and that applies inside, too. The spacious cabin offers all-new seat designs that feature 3D diamond quilting and a revised perforation pattern in the seat’s centre section. Tactile Precision 3D diamond hide clothes the door panels and B-pillars.
New driver instrumentation graphics complete the package of design enhancements, while the signature Bentley Rotating Display with its choice of a 12.3-inch touchscreen, three analogue dials or an unbroken side of handcrafted veneer continues to be offered as an option.
For the first time with the Flying Spur, the optional Wellness Seating Specification is now available on all four seats. This includes Seat Auto Climate and Postural Adjust, which measures and maintains the perfect body temperature via zoned heating and ventilation, and soothingly varies the pressure on the occupants’ muscles throughout their journey to ensure fatigue is minimized. Why would you not want that?
Canadian pricing and timing for the 2025 Bentley Flying Spur Speed will be announced at a later date. The 2024 model currently starts at $260,100.
