GM Drivers Can Now Order Their NACS Adapter to Use at Tesla Superchargers
Starting this week, General Motors will begin opening up access to more than 17,800 Tesla Superchargers for its customers in North America with the use of a GM-approved CCS-NACS adapter, the automaker announced on Wednesday.
Pre-order is available now. Customers in Canada will be able to purchase their adapter for $310 at their local GM dealer later this year. That includes current and future Chevrolet Blazer EV, Equinox EV and Silverado EV and Cadillac Lyriq owners, not to mention those who are waiting for GM’s upcoming electric vehicles.

GM’s adapter makes it possible to plug a non-Tesla vehicle into Superchargers, which utilize an NACS (North American Charging Standard) connector. Drivers will be able to use their GM vehicle brand mobile apps and OnStar connectivity to locate available Superchargers, check station status, initiate a charge and pay for charging sessions.
With the addition of Tesla’s network, GM customers will have access to more than 230,000 public chargers across Canada and the U.S., including Level 2 AC chargers and Level 3 DC fast chargers.
