Refreshed 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander to Rock New Yamaha Stereo, More Changes
As part of its 2025 model lineup announcement last August, Mitsubishi confirmed that the Outlander would benefit from a mid-cycle refresh as the current generation dates back to 2022.
Today, the Japanese automaker is giving us a preview, adding that pricing will be released in January with an official debut to follow on February 24, 2025.

Look for minor styling revisions on the outside as well as improved on- and off-highway driving dynamics. Alas, no details are available at this point.
Mitsubishi prefers to show the interior of its compact SUV, which offers new colours and a new centre console design with repositioned buttons and cupholders—apparently with ease of use and comfort in mind. We expect storage to be slightly increased, though this has yet to be confirmed.
One of the highlights will be a significantly upgraded audio system on all trim levels, marking the first time that Yamaha develops an in-car audio system for a North American-market vehicle. Optionally, customers will have access to SiriusXM’s 360L on-demand satellite-streaming entertainment service, a first for Mitsubishi.
The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is scheduled to go on sale across Canada on March 1, 2025. To be clear, the mid-cycle update doesn’t apply to the Outlander PHEV, whose 2025 model is already on sale (with a base MSRP of $48,698) and offers a new SE trim slotting between the entry-level ES and mid-grade LE. Content includes silver front and rear skid plate styling, silver roof rails, LED fog lights, a panoramic sunroof, three-zone climate control, smartphone wireless charger and hands-free power liftgate, among other things.
The Outlander PHEV will be updated for the 2026 model year and we hear it will feature a larger-capacity battery improving zero-emission range (currently 61 km).
Don’t forget that two all-new Mitsubishi vehicles will debut later this decade in market segments in which the company does not currently compete. As a matter of fact, a new or completely refreshed vehicle will debut each year between 2026 and 2030.
