New 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX Adds Some Muscle and Range
Ford is making changes to its F-150 Lightning lineup for the 2026 model year. After listening to customers, the company has decided to replace the XLT model with a new STX model that gives the electric pickup a bit more ruggedness, style and range.
Instead of having 452 horsepower and a 98kWh battery providing a range of 386 km, as is currently the case, this F-150 Lightning generates 536 horsepower and benefits from the extended-range 131kWh battery that will allow it to travel up to 467 km, according to Ford estimates. Peak torque remains at 775 lb-ft, while maximum towing capacity is 10,000 lbs.
The new running boards come from the F-150 Tremor and the wheels are shod with all-terrain tires.

Ford designers also gave the F-150 Lightning STX a fresh grille with a Grabber Blue accent, plus unique STX graphics on the bedsides, charging door and hood, the latter also featuring a large black decal.
What’s more, three new body colours are available for 2026 including Argon Blue (pictured here), Marsh Gray and Ruby Red Metallic.

As for the cabin, look for new cloth “STX” Grabber Blue embroidered seats (with stitching to match), a standard heated steering wheel and an optional black vinyl floor for those who tend to get dirty.

The 2026 Ford F-150 Lightning STX will arrive in dealerships early next year and should be one of the top sellers in the lineup based on Ford’s projections. Canadian pricing starts at $74,995 (MSRP), which is an increase of $5,000 from the outgoing XLT model.
