2.0L engine -- A brand-new Earth Dreams powertrain replaces the current 1.8L engine that’s been powering Civics since the 2006 model year. Based on the Accord’s engine, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit in the 2016 Honda Civic produces 158 horsepower (up from 143) and 138 lb-ft of torque (up from 129). It can be teamed up with either a six-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic.
