Forgettable recent American cars that will become classics

Published on July 1, 2016 in Top 10 by Mathieu St-Pierre

Hindsight is 20/20, as they say. Every car manufacturer has produced a car at one point or another in their history that they wish they could take back. The Big Three American brands excel at releasing a product only to pull it a few short years later because of dismal sales. Some of the worse offenders were destined to become classics the moment they left the showroom floor. Others were not so obvious. This top 10 is a collection of cars from the last 25 years that were not as terrible, but never managed to capture as much attention as they should have. The relative rareness of the cars or specific trims today is what will most likely insure their “classic car” status in a couple of decades. #1: Mercury Cougar
