Tom Hanks is Selling His Awesome Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
In addition to his Airstream trailer which he used for 30+ years of making movies, Tom Hanks recently decided to sell his classic 1980 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser through a Bonhams-hosted auction that will take place on August 13 in California.
Despite its venerable age, the off-roader has received much love and care from the Oscar-winning actor, who even signed one of the panels inside. The stock engine was replaced by a GM 4.3-litre Vortec V6, the suspension was beefed up, power brakes and power steering were added, and the interior features Porsche-sourced, high-back adjustable bucket seats. Also included are 31-inch Toyo Open Country tires on 15-inch wheels.
