You can always turn to The Car Guide to find the best buys you can make for any given model year, but in case you need a second opinion, U.S. magazine Consumer Reports has just posted its top-10 list of the best vehicles for 2023.
The team tested more than 200 models and identified those that shine the most for their combination of road-test performance, reliability, safety and owner satisfaction—basically the vehicles that they would enthusiastically recommend to family and friends.
Guess what? Toyotas are once again well represented. Notably absent this year, however, are two perennial picks: the Lexus RX and Toyota Prius. The reason is simple: these significantly redesigned models weren’t on sale in time to be included.
Half of the top 10 is made up of hybrids, while two EVs are also included. Check out Consumer Reports’ best vehicles of 2023 in the photo gallery above.
