The plug-in hybrid version relies on 248 combined horsepower and an EV-only driving range estimated at 24 km. The M550i xDrive serves up hot-blooded performance with its 455-hp V8 engine, but the raging M5 and M5 Competition are even faster with 600 and 617 hp, respectively.
