The 5 Series adds two high-performance models for 2025. The M5 Sedan is now a plug-in hybrid using an electrified V8 and delivering a combined 717 horsepower. Making its first-ever appearance in Canada is the M5 Touring wagon. Meanwhile, the 550e xDrive features a larger-capacity battery (19 kWh) enabling longer distances and higher speeds in purely electric mode. The base model is still the four-cylinder 530i xDrive. For a fully electric alternative, consider the BMW i5.
