The X1 is BMW’s entry-level crossover and was completely redesigned two years ago. The base xDrive28i model features a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that delivers 241 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Those looking for superior performance can turn to the M35i model, which cranks output up to 312 horsepower (torque is unchanged). There is no electrified variant in Canada.
