Based on the platform of the Buick Lacrosse and Cadillac XTS, this Impala is considered the brand’s luxury sedan. The new-generation, which came out last year, has a more youthful silhouette and vastly improved handling. The entry-level trim has a 2.5L four-cylinder Ecotec, but there’s also the optional 3.6L 305-hp V6, which is popular in the Chevrolet lineup. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
