The Ford Transit is stepping into the future with the addition of a fully electric variant called E-Transit, which will be sold for under $60,000 in Canada. A 67-kWh battery is included, providing a range of about 200 kilometres. Ford is targeting a maximum payload of 3,800 pounds. The conventionally powered Transit is still around, obviously, available in cargo, touring and cutaway configurations with a choice of two V6 engines.
Pros
- Promising new electric version
- Pleasant driving
- Design adaptable to many uses
Cons
- High threshold of the cargo area floor
- No optional side door on driver side
- Rather small standard screen display
