Completely redesigned for 2023, the Niro embodies Kia’s new “Opposites United” design language. Once again, this small crossover is available in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric variants. The first two stand out with a black panel between the rear doors and liftgate. The Niro EV is the silent one, of course, able to cover up to 407 km with a full battery charge. Output is unchanged at 201 horsepower.
Pros
- Improved electric range
- Attractive base price (hybrid)
- More defined style than the first generation
Cons
- Only one PHEV version
- Uncertain availability
