The Kia Rio is now one of just three subcompact cars remaining in Canada along with the Mitsubishi Mirage and Nissan Versa. Following the discontinuation of the sedan, only the five-door hatchback is still part of the lineup. Under the hood is a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine producing 120 horsepower. The base LX+ model can be had with a manual gearbox, but all the others use a continuously variable transmission.
