The Range Rover Sport is definitely the most athletic of the Range Rover family. Sourced from the all-aluminium Range Rover rather than the separate chassis LR4 of yore, the weight loss suits it well. Performance is surprisingly good, even with the 340-hp supercharged V6. Choose the 510-hp supercharged V8 and it borders on the insane. All models use the eight-speed automatic transmission.
