As the CX-5’s more upscale and more adventurous sidekick, the Mazda CX-50 offers similar build quality, driving dynamics and powertrain options (except for one). The standard 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine produces 191 hp, while its turbocharged version delivers up to 256 hp. For 2025, the CX-50 adds an available hybrid system developed by Toyota and shared with the RAV4 Hybrid. It combines a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with two electric motors for a total of 219 hp.
