Imports of the U.S.-built CX-50 to Canada have been suspended indefinitely due to tariffs, resulting in very limited stock and uncertain production schedules. As for the vehicle itself, the driving experience is pleasant and the interior is well-finished. Two gasoline engines are offered: one with 187 horsepower and the other with 227 horsepower (or 250 with premium gasoline). A 219-horsepower CX-50 Hybrid, which uses Toyota technology, is also available.
