The Mirage is now one of just three subcompact cars remaining in Canada along with the Kia Rio and Nissan Versa. It comes with a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that generates only 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft. of torque. The standard five-speed manual gearbox can be replaced by a continuously variable transmission, resulting in an average fuel consumption of just 6.5 L/100 km. The Mirage is not built in Japan but rather in Thailand.
