Lexus LF-LC on Display at L.A. Auto Show

The Lexus LF-LC stands for Lexus Future Luxury Coupe and was on full display at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.  First seen at the North American

International Auto Show way back in January 2012, the hybrid supercar has been around for some time, suggesting a production model is near.

Earlier this year Lexus did, in fact, confirm the car will be put into production.

Which form this production vehicle will take is still, as of yet, unclear. There hasn’t been a replacement since production of the SC roadster was halted in 2010 so that is one possibility.

Another route the LF-LC could take would be in the form of a competitor to the new Acura NSX or BMW i8. Both are hybrid supercars costing over $100,000 and similar to the LF-LC.

Work on the concept was done at the Calty Design Research center in Newport Beach, California. That center’s previous work includes the Lexus SC and Lexus GS models.
