Porsche 911 Carrera GTS: Four New Models

To help prospective buyers select THE perfect Porsche 911 for their needs, the manufacturer just unveiled a new derivative of their classic sport car. Slotting between the Carrera S and the Turbo model, this new GTS will be available in four different models.

First of all, customers will be able to order their GTS either with a fixed roof of a convertible top. Then, selecting the ‘’4’’ option will give you all-wheel drive, but the car comes out of the factory with RWD. The GTS also comes with the Sport Chrono Package, the PASM active suspension, the sport exhaust and the bi-xenon headlights as standard equipment. All versions of the GTS are based on the Carrera 4 body, which means they get larger fenders and a wider track. Pretty much all the trim (headlight housing, ventilation grille, air intake and exhaust tips) are blacked out, and the standard wheels are 20-inch matte-black units with centre locks.

With 430 horsepower on tap, the GTS Coupe can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds flat, while the convertible needs .2 seconds more to hit the same speed. The fastest of them all is the manual RWD GTS Coupe, which can hit 306 km/h (but don’t worry: all GTS models can easily go over 300 km/h).

With a starting price of $130,300 for the Carrera GTS ($151,500 for the convertible), this latest addition to the 911 lineup sits directly between the Carrera S ($112,800) and the 911 Turbo ($172,400).
