McLaren MSO Defined: How To Be Different

Published on December 4, 2014 in News by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

Have you thought about buying a McLaren 650S? Do you want your new car to be different from all the other McLarens you see on a daily basis? Do you have lots and lots of money?

If you answered yes to all three questions, McLaren has the solution for you: MSO Defined, which will offer a large variety of accessories for the 650S and the Asia-only 625C.

This branch of MSO (McLaren Special Operations) will become the first of 5 tiers, under MSO Bespoke (which can create bespoke bodywork, colours and wheels), MSO Heritage (tasked with preserving and storing the brand’s most storied vehicles), MSO Limited (which builds limited-edition supercars) and MSO Programme (a branch dedicated to running the P1 GTR initiative).

MSO Defined will offer some various carbon fibre accessories (diffusers, rear wing and lateral winglets for the front bumper). Performance drivers will also be able to add a row of LEDs on their dashboard which light up as the engine revs, just like the display in a Formula 1 car.
