2016 Ford GT: Glorious Return For The Legendary Supercar

Published on January 12, 2015 in Detroit by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

One of the major events of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show will surely be the unveiling of the all-new 2016 Ford GT. After a 10-years hiatus, the car is back to defend Ford’s honour on race tracks around the world.

To do this, the GT will feature state-of-the-art technologies: a carbon-fibre composite chassis, active aerodynamics, Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires and parts derived from Ford’s IMSA racing effort. To propel the GT, a heavily modified version of the 3.5-litre twin-turbo Ecoboost V6 will rest under the hood. We can expect more than 600 horsepower, and a power-to-weight ratio that will make any supercar think twice before lining up next to Ford’s new car.

We can’t wait to learn more.
