Aston Martin’s New Laboratory

Published on January 16, 2015 in News by Frédérick Boucher-Gaulin

Aston Martin is working hard to enter the 21st century: after announcing a partnership with Mercedes-Benz's high-performance division, AMG, the English manufacturer just christened a new location for their research and development engineering.

Located in the MIRA Technology Park in England, the new building offers numerous advantages for Aston Martin: it’s located closer to London, safe from the eyes of the paparazzi, it’s near suppliers of high-tech materials and within reasonable distance of reputable test tracks.

In the coming years we can expect the majority of Aston Martin’s upcoming models to come from the new location.

As a reminder, Aston Martin has already announced that their new cars will eventually be equipped with AMG’s V8 engines. This also means the end of Aston Martin’s musical V12. We will have to wait until next year to see the first vehicles fitted with the German engines.

And who knows? This new location might be where MI6 will develop James Bond’s next gadgets…
