A Partnership Between Mercedes-AMG And Cigarette Racing Team

If you have an interest in sport boats, you probaby know who Cigarette Racing Team is: they are a little shop that builds high-performance boats for the super-wealthy.

The German tuning house AMG has had a long and storied relationship with Cigarette Racing. Over the years, both companies have partnered up to build matching boats and cars. Each AMG supercar has had its very own boat: SLR McLaren, SLS AMG…

It is now time for the Mercedes-AMG GT to meet its water-going twin brother. Cigarette Racing Team just put up the first shot of what will become a new AMG GT boat. While we don’t know anything about it yet, we can see that the general styling cues will be kept and that the boat will be as yellow as the coupe.

We are fairly sure that the twin-turbo 4-litre V8 found in the GT won’t be available in the racing boat. However, since Cigarette’s creations frequently pack engines developing over 1000 horsepower, we can speculate that performance won’t be lacklustre.

We will discover the final creation at the Miami Boat Show on February 12.
