Big Objectives for the Lamborghini Urus

When a manufacturer gets into the SUV business, it’s not to please its most ardent fans; these vehicles are made to increase sales and bring in money.

This is exactly why Lamborghini is working on the Urus. With this new model, the Italian manufacturer has a pretty interesting objective: they want to double their sales numbers.

For an automaker like Honda or Chevrolet, this would be pretty much impossible; for Lamborghini, however, who sells around 3000 units annually, this is much more feasible.

According to Reuters, Lamborghini wants to sell around 7000 vehicles per year. Of this number, 3500 will be supercars. The rest will be Uruses (Uruss? Uris?).

There still isn’t a definitive production date for the Urus, we don’t know what will sit under its hood (although rumours are talking about a twin-turbo V8, which would be a first for the automaker) and the final form of the SUV is yet to be revealed.

However, we know that we can’t wait to see it!
